Roy
Jones Jr., of Pensacola, FL, overcame a first-round
onslaught from game, but outgunned, Prince Badi Ajamu,
of Camden, NJ, to take a twelve round unanimous decision
last night at the Qwest Arena in Boise, ID. The win
snapped a three-fight losing streak for Jones and also
gave him the NABO Light Heavyweight title that Ajamu was
defending. In the co-feature, former IBF Light
Heavyweight Champion William “KO King” Guthrie, of Palm
Beach, FL won the IBF International Cruiserweight belt
with an impressive fifth-round TKO over Luke Munsen, of
Spokane, WA. The card, which was televised on
pay-per-view, was promoted by Xyience, Inc, in
association with Sports and Entertainment Media and
Knockout Promotions. (More)

Will Ajamu Retire Jones?
Jones
desperate to save his career...
Boxing Prince could be end for RJJ...
Some boxing insiders
believe Prince Badi "The Boxing Prince" Ajamu will end
the illustrious career of five-time world champion Roy
Jones, Jr., tomorrow night in Boise, Idaho. Prince Badi
(25-2-1, 14 KOs) defends his NABO light heavyweight
title in the 12-round main event against living legend
Jones (49-4, 38 KOs) headlining the Hold Nothing Back!
pay-per-view event. Although clearly the underdog, Badi
has an edge in several categories for this match-up
against the 37-year-old Jones, who badly needs a win
after three straight losses, including two devastating
knockouts by Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson. Another
defeat will likely spell the end for RJJ. Can Jones show
he can still be a player in the light heavyweight
division? Or will "The Boxing Prince" demonstrate to
"His Royness" that it's time to abdicate and let the
younger light heavyweight athletes to take over? (More)

Time to Overthrow the King!
Prince Badi Ajamu seeks to
dethrone
Roy Jones Jr. on Saturday
night.
All good things must come to an end so the saying goes.
It’s time for one good thing to end and another good
thing to begin. Saturday night at the Qwest Arena in
Boise , ID it’s time for Prince Badi Ajamu to overthrow
former pound for pound boxing king Roy Jones, Jr. who
challenges for the Prince’s NABO light heavyweight
championship in a 12-round fight shown nationally on
Pay-Per-View. Prince Badi (25-2-1, 14 KOs), known as “The Fighting Prince”
hails from the legendary gyms of Philly and plans on
taking Jones to the school of hard knocks that Roy has
pretty much been able to avoid during his remarkable
career. A future Hall of Famer, Jones has very
selectively avoided opponents capable of turning a
“fight” into a “war”. Make no mistake about it, Roy
Jones, Jr. (49-4, 38
KOs ) will find himself in a “war” Saturday night. (More)

Prince Badi Holds
Nothing Back!
by Rick Scharmberg
When Prince Badi Ajamu, a.k.a. "The Boxing
Prince", hit the Roy Jones lottery a ew
months ago, he graduated from being a SHOBOX
and ESPN fighter to pay-per-view. As a
result, Prince is enjoying a celebrity
status that most fighters dream about, but
rarely achieve. "All the respect and
attention I am getting feels really, really
good," he said. "I am getting the
opportunity to educate the general public on
the sport of boxing, telling them things
they might not know."

Prince Badi's Hard
Road to the Top!
story and
Prince
Badi Ajamu (25-2-1, 14 KOs), ranked #5 by
the WBC, will face future hall-of-famer Roy
Jones Jr. on July 29 at the Qwest Arena in
Boise, Idaho. In Ajamu, who is known as "The
Boxing Prince", Jones will be facing a
tough, credible opponent as he looks to
return following three consecutive setbacks.
Ajamu hails from Camden, NJ, but has cut his
teeth in the gyms of Philadelphia, PA after
turning pro on January 12, 2001. Prince has
sparred with Bernard Hopkins, and was
Antonio Tarver's chief sparring partner for
Tarver's rematch with Glen Johnson. As a
student of the game, Ajamu has followed the
career of Roy Jones, and never thought he
would be fighting him. "I've always been a
fan of Roy's and I find it almost mystical
that I'm now fighting somebody I've admired
so much. I never thought I'd be fighting
Jones. I thought I would be fighting Glen
Johnson or Antonio Tarver instead," he said.

Jones, Ajamu Speak
in Boise!
Conference to
hype "Hold Nothing Back" July 29.
During a
conference to promote July 29’s "Hold
Nothing Back!" at the Qwest Arena in Boise,
Idaho, and live on pay-per-view, five-time
world champion Roy Jones, Jr. (49-4, 38 KOs)
and his opponent, NABO Light Heavyweight
Champion Prince Badi "The Boxing Prince"
Ajamu (25-2-1, 14 KOs) spoke of their
showdown. Jones, coming back from three
consecutive losses (TKOBY 2 and UD 12 to
Antonio Tarver, KOBY 9 Glen Johnson), says
that fans can expect the return of the “old”
Roy Jones who dominated boxing for so many
years. “I got away from being myself. I
became a people’s fighter rather than my own
fighter,” he explains. “We go through ups
and downs in life and everything that
happened, happened. I’m very happy to be
back in the ring.” Ajamu, who admits that
Jones is one of his boxing heroes, says his
key to winning will be in-ring flexibility.
“You don’t really know what to expect from
Roy. He’s got a lot of natural talent and
you don’t know what fight he’ll fight. Being
able to adjust is one of the most important
things for me. I’m very much up to the
challenge and I’m honored to be here.” "Hold
Nothing Back!" will be broadcast live in
North America on cable and satellite Pay Per
View at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT (blacked out in
southern Idaho). Tickets, priced at $50,
$100, $150, $250 and $350 (plus handling
fees), are on sale and available exclusively
